Realme GT teaser suggests it could be the cheapest Snapdragon 888 smartphone The Realme GT will make its global debut in China next week. With just a few more days left for the launch, the company is trying to garner some end-moment attention by talking about its local pricing and how it will be amongst the cheapest flagships of the season. The Realme GT is the brand’s next premium flagship, arriving more than a year after the Realme X50 Pro. It was confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset, joining the likes of other high-end flagship smartphones. The launch is scheduled for March 4. In a post on Weibo, Realme China’s Chase (a company spokesperson) talked about how it will be priced under CNY 2,999 (~Rs 34,000) at launch. He further adds that there will be no variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage just to bring the price down. In that case, the base model is likely to have an 8GB + 128GB configuration. It is confirmed to have options that go up to 12GB of

Samsung planning an Exynos Windows PC with AMD GPU

Image
Samsung planning an Exynos Windows PC with AMD GPU Samsung has been open about the fact that it is working with AMD. At the launch of the Exynos 2100 in January 2021, the company confirmed it. Samsung's exact words at the time were: "We are working together with AMD, and we'll have a next generation mobile GPU in the next flagship product." Many - including ourselves - took that to mean than it would be destined for a smartphone. However, new information suggests that Samsung might be aiming this at the mobile computing segment, so we might see the first Exynos and AMD pairing in a laptop. A report from ZDNet Korea suggests that Samsung plans to launch a thin and light laptop in H2 2021, using new Exynos hardware - tentatively dubbed Exynos 2200 - paired with AMD graphics. The intent, it seems, would be to challenge Qualcomm in the Windows on ARM segment and capitalise on the fresh appetite in a post-Intel world, thanks to rave reviews of Apple's M1 ch

The last time a MacBook Pro included these features was back in 2015, with all models since omitting those ports in favor of USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 connections that require a separate dongle for image transfers or additional displays. A Bloomberg report initially suggested the return of the SD reader and HMDI port, with Kuo's statements giving some additional weight to those claims. This was in addition to the rumor that Apple will be releasing redesigned MacBook Pros in two sizes in late 2021 with a 16-inch model and a new 14-

Sony FX3 launch date official as Sony teases 'new Alpha' camera A new teaser appears to have revealed the launch date for the Sony FX3, an exciting pro camera that will likely blur the boundaries between Sony's Cinema cameras and its Alpha models. The teaser above from Sony Alpha Universe promises "new cinematic freedom" from its special announcement and online event, which takes place on 23rd February at 10am / 3pm GMT. For Australian camera fans, that works out as 2am on 24 February. Looking at the image for the event above, it's highly likely to be for the launch of the Sony FX3. This compact full-frame model has been leaked in recent days and would sit nicely in that final spot to the right of larger cameras like the Sony FX6, which have been lined up in descending order of size. The FX3 is particularly interesting because it's likely to be so much more compact than the rest of Sony's Cinema line, which includes the Sony FX6, FX9 and Ve

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra leaks, features tiny second screen for taking selfies

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra leaks, features tiny second screen for taking selfies The global launch of the Xiaomi Mi 11 - a phone that we reviewed and thought was packed with potential - there's long been rumour of an Mi 11 Ultra version waiting in the wings. Now a YouTube video has leaked the device in considerable detail, all but confirming a tiny second screen among the rear cameras. Just like the Mi 11, the Ultra will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor - which is the top-end available at this current time - and the same 6.8-inch WQHD+ 120Hz display. There's no difference in the general size of one phone to the other. The real thing that stands the Ultra apart from its 'standard' cousin is that camera arrangement. The video shows close-ups of the rear camera unit, which is expansive to say the least. But it's clear to see why for two reasons: that tiny second screen; and the periscope zoom lens. First off, there's a "120X" sta
